Jake's 1st haircut

Jake's hair has been getting pretty crazy lately. It wouldn't behave very often so I decided it was time for a haircut. Since I am the haircutter around here on went the cape and away we went. He held pretty still (for a 9 month old) and we did it as fast as we could. Max was the photographer while I was the haircutter. We made a pretty good team.

You can see here just how long it was getting. I thought maybe it would look thicker if I cut it and it worker perfectly.

He finally got sick of the cape because he couldn't eat his candy cane very well. So we finished in just his shirt and it was a serious mess by the end.

He looks so handsome with his short haircut. But it pretty much took him out of looking like a little baby, he looks more grown up now. It is kind of sad!

DISNEYLAND!!!

Disneyland - what a magical place to be! We went this month for both of the kids birthdays. We kept it a surprise until we were on our way out of town and the kids were speechless. We had perfect weather like 75-80 degrees each day two of the days were perfect blue skies and the last day was partly cloudy. We seriously had a perfect trip to Disneyland and next time we will take little Jake along to experience the magic as well.

The castle - words can't tell you how excited the kids were to finally see the Disney castle.
Our first stop was Matterhorn. The kids loved it so I knew we were in for a great time!

Finding Nemo submarines.

Here we come Big Thunder Mountain Railroad!

We all love Thunder Mountain Railroad ( but at some point I thought maybe it sounded a little clanky) - but we stayed on the track and had a great ride.
Max wanted to ride the big white ferry. What a relaxing warm ride. Good choice Max. I think he needed a break from the thrill rides for just a few minutes.
Isaac of course had to stand at the top with Justin.
Max and I took a soft chair right on the bow of the boat and just relaxed as we went for a ride around the river.
Watch out Pirates here we come. This was one of Justin's favorite rides. Pirates of the Caribbean. Very fun!
On the boat in the Pirates ride.

Waiting our turn for Splash Mountain. The kids loved Splash Mountain and our picture at the end was priceless!
It's A Small World
Minnie's House. The kids really didn't think it was necessary to go to Minnie's house but with some coaxing we went. I told them if they didn't get happy about it we would go through again and again until they loved Minnie Mouse. You know what I got a smile right away :)

No one would stand by me for a picture in front of the pink castle. But isn't it pretty anyways?

I had to take a picture of these flowers. They line the roads and I just thought they were so pretty.
This is at the end of day one in Disneyland. We went out to dinner on our way home and seriously the kids fell asleep at the table ( I guess they have more of their mom in them than we thought!) We took them home and they just fell straight to sleep with no talking or anything. It was crazy how tired they were! I guess you could say they had so much fun they just couldn't stand it.
Tarzan's treehouse.
Playing music at Tarzans treehouse just like in the movie.

The jungle boats..
We had the time of our lives with our kids in Disneyland. It is a trip that has to be repeated again. We love these kids so much and had so so much fun with them. Watching their eyes light up in amazement and fun was an experience that as a parent you could never forget.

California Adventures -

California Adventures

It was a first time experience for all of us at California Adventures and we thought it was a lot of fun. This is right when you walk in and walla the Golden Gate Bridge -

The next few pictures are of the Wild Rapids water ride and because it was such a warm day we all ventured out and went on it. In this picture you can see the major water drop at the end where you will get soaked.

Before we left we were so dry :)
Also before we left...
After the ride - Justin and Isaac just happened to be on the wrong side of the tube and they looked like they had another shower. It was great!
Max and I faired pretty well. We only got slightly wet which was good for both of us. We dried off in no time. This ride was so much fun! It was great we just walked right on to the ride because apparently some people didn't want to get wet. No lines - and that meant there was no time for me and Max to change our minds about going on it. We had a lot of good laughs...

This is in Brother Bear obstacle course and challenge trail. It is a big obstacle course for just running around and no having to stand in a line. Perfect for kids!

We went over to do this zip line and when we got there they measured Max and said he wasn't tall enough to do the zip line. I told the lady they just let him do all of the rollercoasters and wild rapid water ride are you kidding me that he cannot do the zip line in the kids playground. And no amount of talking would change her mind so Isaac went and did the zip line and Max just had to watch. Isaac said it was pretty fun but for Max not to worry it wasn't the best thing we had done. Everyone was happy after that.

Out little Aviators! Aren't they cute?? One of our favorite rides was Soarin over California. It was amazing! So the kids were checking out the flight gear.

We are riding Monsters, Inc. in this picture. The kids were so excited to see all the doors and everything working just as it did in the movie. It is so fun to see the kids expressions when something is just like being in the movie.

This is in Bugs Life. We went to the 3-D movie down in the ant hill and it was a hoot! These are the glasses we wore to help us be the honorary bugs. Max just kept saying, "I can't believe that Flick and Hopper are in real life." This is awesome!

We were sitting on a bench eating ice cream (Frozen soft strawberry lemonade cups - if you go there you should try them they are delicious.) We are waiting for the parade to start and we messed around with the camera.
This is going into the ride Toy Story Mania. I am not sure who loved this ride more Justin or the kids. You wear these 3-D glasses and you have a little cannon shooter thing. You get to play a whole bunch of games and the screen tell you how many points you get and what your average is for how many times you shot. (Of course Justin loved seeing his shooting average) The kids had a ball on this ride we ended up riding it a couple of times.

Max shooting his cannon.

Isaac took his shooting very seriously! (He is just like his dad) He really wanted to have the most points at the end. I of course lost the first time because I was too busy trying to take a picture. But the second time I did pretty good.

On the second day that we were in California adventures Max wasn't really interested in getting wet on the water ride again so here we are just hanging out to see Isaac and Justin come down the big drop. He is such a cutie!

They didn't fair so well the second time either! Soaking wet all day long - what fun!

We had so much fun in California Adventures. There was this roller coaster called Mullholland Maddness and I think Max loved that ride better than any other. He laughed a laugh I have never heard before and had so much fun. He is at such a fun age to take to Disneyland. Isaac is always wondering if the characters are real or dressed up. But I told him does it really matter this is still the best vacation you have been on in a while. We had so much fun playing with the 2 older boys on this vacation. They are so fun to be around! We are lucky parents to have 3 fun boys. The excitement is only going to be more fun all the time. We missed Jake but I guarantee he had more fun with Grandma and Grandpa than he would've had sitting in the stroller all day just getting hauled around. Next time when he is tall enough he will get to go too.
