Jake's 5th Birthday

I can hardly believe that my baby Jake is 5 years old!  He did inform me that morning when he woke up that I shouldn't call him "baby Jake" anymore since he isn't a baby.  I informed him that he will always be my baby Jake, but I will try to stop calling him that all the time.  He wanted a beach cake - a kid after my own heart.  So I made a blue ocean cake complete with a beach, palm tree, sun bather, swimmers, surfers, tubers and more sun bathers!  He was pretty impressed with my skills!

He got himself a new fishing pole, just for him!

I got him some new cletes - - he had been begging for some cletes since February so I found these on sale and they were 50% off the lowest marked price and they were awesome so I bought them.  I put them aside for 2 months until his birthday.  In the mean time his sweet cousin Trace sent him some cletes in the mail.  He tried hard to be excited about the ones I got him, but he really just likes to wear Trace's since Trace gave them to him.

 Counting up the George Washington's!
His birthday crown and birthday box from preschool.  And the lucky little kid got to go fishing on his preschool birthday day!  Can't get much better than that!
We went to play for the afternoon on his birthday.  This is Jake in the XD theater.
 Air hockey.

Someday I hope to buy all of these boys dirt bikes, but until then this is going to have to do!
Justin loves this game - Jake was pretty excited to play it with him...
Apparently it is pretty serious business...

A little outdoor mini golf in some marginal weather.

WE sure do love this little sweet Jake.  He has kept us on our toes for 5 good years now.  You all know how much I love to wear heels and I had to stop wearing heels everyday because I couldn't keep up with this little kiddo.  I just had to be able to run... FAST... at any given moment to keep up with Jake.  And with those beautiful heart stopping blue eyes you can hardly be mad at him for anything.  So unfortunately he gets away with far to much.  But we love him so so much.

Isaac - School Talent Show

Isaac was chosen to participate in the talent show this year.  You have to audition and I am pretty sure it is rigged so I was thrilled that he got in!  He practiced his song so much and I was super proud of him.  It is terrifying to play in front of the school and your own peers and he was so nervous, but he did fantastic!  Sorry I was a ways back so you can hardly see him on the stage but it is him :)  He had his song memorized and did a great job.

Max - the beginning of baseball

First off - Lucky Jake gets to be the bat boy at a lot of the games and he loves it!  He loves being in the dug out with dad.
Max has been working hard this year.  Right out of the gates he wanted to be the catcher since he saw Isaac play it and love it - so he wanted a chance at it.  He wasn't quite ready at the beginning of the season and he played another position and he was sad about it.  But that did not stop him he practiced and worked at it and got himself a try at catcher... and now he has a position he loves.  He is playing fantastic so far this season!

WE spend a lot of days at the baseball fields but with $2 (for nachos) and a bag of treats we all manage to have a good time!

Preschool - Fishing Field Trips

Our last field trip for the year for preschool was a fishing trip.  We went to a stocked trout farm for a guaranteed catch!  The fisherman that does this is awesome with the kids and my kids love going here and I am pretty sure that all of the preschool kids loved it as well!

Me and Jake with his catch for the day.

Lexie was hilarious pulling that fish in!  She was so excited!
My 3 year old preschool class.

Oh my goodness he is just the best looking little kiddo!
Lexie didn't want to be to close to the gutting table.

After the fish were caught and the gutting was over and we saw the beating heart we got to feed the fish.

Jake and Lexie letting me take a picture for their dad to see their fish before we give them to the neighbor for their dinner.

These next pictures are from the day I took my pre-k class fishing.  Jake and Lexie were lucky and got to catch 2 fish each that week!
A nice big catch for Jake!

Nice big one for Lexie too!

It doesn't change Jake just really hates watching fish get cleaned out.  It is pretty gross I hate watching it as well!

What a fun time we got to have with our preschool friends!  Lucky, cute kids.
