Isaac's last basketball game :(

Isaac has loved every minute of basketball this year! It has been so fun for us to watch him... his intensity is high and he loves to do a great job! He comes home and practices whatever he may have messed up on in the game so that the next game he can get it right! He played awesome all season and it was fun to watch him get better and better! He is passionate about whatever sport he is playing at the time.

At the last game there was one of the boys on the team who hadn't scored all season. It was the last quarter and 3 of the other boys on the floor decided to make it possible for him to score before the end of the game. They plotted and worked and it took quite a few times up and down the court to get it right - they practiced their screens and good defense and yes... in the last minute the boy scored his first basket of the season and he was thrilled and the other boys felt so happy for him! It was a true "Rudy" moment! There was loud cheering and tears alike as the crowd was so happy for the awesome teamwork that made a great to a great season! We were so proud of Isaac all season!

Jake & Arleigh

I wanted to take a few pictures of these 2 this week while Arleigh has been with us....... but they are too busy to take my eyes off of them for one minute! If I turn my back... anything could happen! So this is what dinner has looked like at my house for a week. We started just taking their shirts off to eat because that meant less laundry!! Anyways they were having a funny time giving each other hugs at dinner. Anything to get out of eating your food.... right!?!?!?

They are adorable little cousins!!

Max's last game :(

These are a couple of pictures from Max's last basketball game. He had a lot of fun playing basketball this year and he played great!! At this game he scored 2 baskets (and for 1st graders that is big time scoring!) He loved having his dad as the coach and he had his best friend on his team. He always came to just have a great time and smile for the crowd!

Max bringing the ball down!

We were so proud of Max this year playing basketball - what fun to watch!

Isaac's 9th Birthday!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISAAC!!
I seriously can hardly believe that Isaac is 9 years old!! That makes me getting old! He wanted a basketball cake for his birthday. No fancy colors just exactly like a basketball. I think I got it right???

Isaac's birthday was on a Saturday morning and instead of picking where to go for dinner he wanted to go out for breakfast! He loves breakfast - the only thing that was hard for him to give up was ice cream for breakfast but we had a ton of fun going out for breakfast with him.

A picture of the boys and the cake!

Isaac at 9 years old.

Isaac wanted to go to Trafalga for his birthday and we had a great time! Uncle Mason and Aunt Anna got to come and celebrate a bit with us and Isaac was thrilled about it! Although even though mini golf isn't a serious sport it is all business with Isaac.

Cake and ice cream!! Isaac blew out all the candles so no girlfriends... yet.

Isaac got a new bike for his birthday and he also got a gift certificate for a ski day with his dad! He is super excited to try something new and get to spend an entire day with his dad! We just love Isaac he keeps us up on life. I know more about sports today than I ever thought possible. I know where teams are ranked and who is playing when. He is an athlete at heart and he loves to play! We love you Isaac.

Lexie & the balloons :)

Lexie's first love behind her family is BALLOONS! She loves them!

She got them all tangled around her and crawled around with them on her for quite awhile! So funny!
On Max's birthday grandpa Nolan came to bring all of the boys their birthday presents.. He got them all a couple of BYU shirts and a BYU pez. At first the boys looked at their dad to see if it was okay to have BYU stuff and now after watching a few basketball games lately they are BYU fans! The love their shirts now! Thanks grandpa Nolan.

It is just birthday week around here!

Max's 7th birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MAX!
We had a great day with Max for his birthday. Even if we had to go to school and play 2 basketball games that night we still were thrilled to celebrate with Max! He wanted a yellow and blue soccer ball cake and I think that I came as close as you can to giving him what he wanted.

He opened his presents before school while his dad was here and he got a Saturday ski gift certificate to go skiing with his dad. They are going this weekend! He is so excited!

He also got a whiplash scooter.

He was really excited about the scooter.....

All my cute kids on Max's birthday morning.

Max and his fish from grandma and grandpa. He loves them a lot!

In tradition.... ice cream for breakfast!

We took donuts over to the school for Max's birthday treat. Jake was thrilled to go to class.

Max was so nice to Jake while he was there and let him sit in his chair and eat his donut. What a sweet sweet brother max is.

Lexie loves chocolate ice cream too!

So here is the story..... Max wanted a whiplash for his birthday and he thought he would love it... after riding it for a couple of days he decided it wasn't really what it was cracked up to be. So after asking ever so kindly he traded in his whiplash and got a new bike! He loves it! Max has to be one of the sweetest boys I know.. He is always willing to help anyone out and he loves his brothers and sister so darn much! We are so so glad that Max is part of our family he never quits making us smile and laugh!

Where have I been...

It would seem that I haven't been blogging as much and that isn't because I don't have a bunch to blog about... I have made a bunch of posts today but I was going to tell you where I have been. I decided at the 1st of the year that I needed to take better care of myself. Well a gym pass is out and it really doesn't work to excercise anywhere but home at this point in my life. So I have been hanging out a lot with Jillian. And not because I like her because she is mean... but it is time for me to try and trim down and feel better about myself. So I have been doing this for a few weeks religiously and so far.... not looking like a bunch of results but I feel better so I guess that is important. I am hoping to let a few of my favorite pounds go soon! Wish me luck!

Justin and I do this one together at night. It has been a lot of fun!

Here's to looking better and feeling better soon!

A birthday surprise!

We were so happy that my parents came this weekend for a quick visit! They decided to come down a weekend early for the boys birthdays and the kids were thrilled! They took each one of the boys out to whatever store they wanted to go and gave them some money to find a birthday present of their own. They were so excited!! I think that more than anything the kids were excited to get to spend time with grandma and grandpa alone. They loved it.

Isaac was thrilled about his finds... my mom said he was very careful with his money and made sure he was picking the best things for the money. He got a Snowmaching wii game, a football and a tech deck skateboard. He was in heaven! I wasn't totally surprised with any of his purchases he was spot on what he always looks at...

Max on the other hand came home with 2 fish and a fishtank. Surprise! But he was thrilled with his find. My mom tried to get him to change his mind to any other toy in the store but no luck it had to be a fish.

Yes as you can see grandpa is much nicer than me and let him put the fish in the tub for a little bit of extra swimming room.

They were pretty big fish!

Max loves them so much! Thank you grandma and grandpa for a really really fun weekend. And I also wanted to note that we went to Isaac's basketball game on Saturday and he played out of his mind!!! He made a ton of points and even made a 3 pointer! It was awesome! We were so glad that grandma and grandpa were here to see it! Isaac and Max.... I just love both of these boys!
