A little fun baseball

Last week I may have gone a little nuts.....  My kids wanted to play a fun baseball game just because so we rounded up 18 boys to play with them.  WE had enough for 2 teams and they played for 3 hours and they had so much fun.  I did nothing except for watch, laugh, smile and provide cream soda, root beer and ice cream sandwiches.  The kids all had a fantastic time and all of them want to do it weekly - - we shall see.

The cutie 3 little ones I had with me.

Isaac with one of his best friends Colton.

Max's best friend is the guy in the red.  But these 3 have been playing sports together for a long time.
The older boys were so nice to the little ones and let them bat and then over threw all the bases so they could get a home run.  It was so fun to watch - they did it with no coaching from me.

He missed this one - but he got the next one and when he hits it goes cuz he is serious about it.
Yes - Lexie wore her swim suit and she stood in the back and screamed, "Go Jake! (or whoever was hitting)"  a true cheerleader in her favorite piece of clothing!

We all had so much fun playing that afternoon and I think I got mom of the year for a day!

Max Swim Lessons

Max just happened to be at scout day camp the day I was allowed on the deck to take pictures at swim lessons.  I have been trying to figure out how to get pictures of him but I am afraid the head guy will throw me out or take my camera away if I get near the side on another day besides the assigned "moms can be near" day.  I am going to try....   Although Max is in the next to highest class and he is swimming like a natural - I love that all of my kids are turning into excellent swimmers.  Swimming is one thing you just have to know how to do in my opinion!

Isaac Swim Lessons

This is the last year of swim lessons for Isaac he has passed the top level with flying colors.  Next year he will either do swim team or a two year swimming/life saving merit badge class.  The day I went over to watch him there was a couple of other adults standing there rolling in the swim team ropes and he was just watching and yelled out to Isaac's teacher, "Hey, who is that kid right there?" (It was Isaac)  The teacher told him and he said, "Where is his mom, I need to talk to her?"  I just was right there so I said, "That would be me, is everything alright?"  He said, "Yes, that kid is an awesome swimmer and I am the head coach on the swim team.  I want him on the swim team he would be fantastic."  So I guess that is an outstanding compliment for Isaac and we will see what next year brings.

He had to swim a 300 meter to pass the class but one day he swam a 450 just because the rest of the class wasn't done with their 300 yet.

Flip turns - he is still working on this but I think a good pair of goggles would do the trick!

Jake's swim lessons

Last week started swim lessons for a couple of weeks. This is Jake and he did fantastic!  I am only allowed on the deck on Friday to take pictures so it is a total drag for moms like me.  But he is adorable and swimming like a fish!

Splash Park

We went to this splash park last week and sure had fun!  I didn't take many pictures because I was busy getting wet with the kids!

We are having a lot of fun playing this summer!  We spend a lot of days at Seven Peaks Water Park which I will probably never post pictures of because I am busy swimming and doing waterslides with the kids!  We  are having a ton of fun there this summer!  The kids are great ages for fun filled waterpark days!

Hiking

Last week on Sunday afternoon we decided to go hiking for a couple of hours - sure beats staying home trashing the house and possible fighting...  So we enjoyed each other and some nice hiking time in the mountains instead.  It was a great choice!

This is Lexie's new favorite thing to do when she can get the boys to do it with her.  "Clink, now we drink."  It is adorable!

It was a pretty hard hike for this tiny toothpick legs.

Lexie's legs were tired so she got a sweet ride for awhile!

What Lexie gets everyone wants!.. so Jake was up next for a ride home.  Justin ended up with an extra good workout hauling kids up and down a mountain!  Jake got to ride about half way back and then Lexie just stopped dead in her tracks and refused to take one more step. (Literally wasn't going to move)  Justin picked her up and put her on his shoulders and she insisted her shoes be taken off - then is when we found out why she was done....  She got a huge blister that had torn off on her heel and I am sure it was killing her!  She didn't want to wear socks and I was done fighting with her about it and I can almost guarantee she will wear socks next time because big huge blisters are NO FUN!  Other than the blisters it was a super fun afternoon.
