January's cold days...

These pictures are from a few days ago.  The kids were out building a snow fort and having fun while they froze to death.  It was probably zero degrees... it has been that cold for weeks here!  I am over it!! But the kids manage to find joy in the freezing cold snow.  These are just a few pictures of them playing and me playing with my camera as well.

I am in love with taking close up pictures of the kids.  Their eyes are so pretty and this camera does do a good job capturing those beauties.

This is what Lexie did while the boys froze outside.  She was sicker than a dog with a super high fever.  She  slept most of the day - no fun for her.

They all take a pretty good picture it doesn't matter if it is playing and having fun or sleeping on the couch all day.  They are perfect little kids I have.  Love.

Trying and trying :0

So I got this new camera for Christmas and it is a nice camera - - obviously I have no idea how to take a picture with a nice camera.  I expected that what I saw through the lens is what I would be taking a picture of and I was thrilled.  Much to my dismay that doesn't seem to be the case....  It has been quite the pain to try and learn what to do with it.  So I called the gal we bought it from and she came to show me a few things.  Little did I know I would still be so confused when she left I would want to cry.  It all seemed to make perfect sense while she was here and then she left..... and I was on my own again..  So I learned words like shutterspeed, ISO, & aperture.  Which I do know what they mean and should do but can't do it.  I went outside to try them out and this is what I came up with...  I still have a lot, a lot,
a +lot of learning to do!

I sure wish it was going to be as easy as taking a picture of what you see in the lens...  Maybe someday!

West Yellowstone - 2012

We always love love our West Yellowstone trip after Christmas!  We swim, hot tub, snow machine, hot chocolate, movies and just have a great time hanging out with family!  Here are a couple of marginal swimming pictures but you can tell the kids love it!

Jake is such a good sport - there are no boys his age or close so he just hangs out with the little girlies and he really doesn't mind.  But it requires him to play dolls or whatever so he can have fun too.  He is a good kid and just does it.  The older boys just go outside to snow machine for too long at a time and he can't do it that long yet.  So until then it's moms and girls for Jake.  We love him.

Sledding fun.  Jake was hilarious sledding he just minded his own business and kept going down and walking up and never complaining about the walk or anything just enjoying his sledding.
Max giving the little girls a ride on the snow machine.

Love this picture of these two boys.

The best grandma ever - sporting the sled fast just like the kids!

I don't know what I did on my new camera to get these pictures but they are awesome!  Holy blue eyes and handsome kid and a tad bit blurry snow machine!  I hit the clicker on the camera just right!  I love these pictures.

Lexie doesn't much like to sled but she likes to have a lot of tastes of snow :)

Sledding behind the snow machines now that is fun!
And the view our on our deck.

Just getting geared up :)   We love to see everyone and spend these days after Christmas together! The kids love to see grandma and grandpa and all the cousins.  A trip they never forget and always look forward to!  Thanks mom and dad!
