The first Saturday in December we loaded up and headed out for the mountains in search of the best Christmas tree. The kids were delighted to see a sciff of snow and promptly headed out to sled!
Then we headed up the hill! We decided to split and go 3 and 3 because we didn't want to run out of sunlight. We always could hear each other though! I went with Max and Lexie and Justin took Isaac and Jake.
We found a couple pretty quick and then decided to rest on a log.
Of course there were silly faces!
And then Lexie broke out in Christmas songs! Oh I loved it! One of my favorite Christmas quotes is, "The best way to spread Christmas cheer is by singing loud for all to hear!!" I say it all the time and she was for sure giving us her best! The boys could even hear her from farther away! She was definitely spreading Christmas cheer!
We marked this tree just in case it was the best out there! Lexie's hat was the marker!
In the meantime Lexie found her own tree!
It's been chopped now down the hill we go!
When we got down the kids played some more before we loaded up!
What a perfect way to spend the day!
