Jake's 3 year stats.

We went for Jake's 3 year old doctor check-up the other day. He is one healthy kid. He wasn't totally sure he wanted to go to the doctor because he still has flashbacks of when Lexie got her shots! But we survived it.

These are 2 cutie tooties! So Jake weighs a big whoppin' 28 pounds! and he is 36 1/2 inches tall. He is in the 15% for height and weight. He might not be big but he is well rounded! And his size is no match for his larger than life personality!

The park :)

We get to play at this park a couple of times a week. It is where Max has baseball practice. I actually love this park - not because it has the newest and best toys but because it has the awesome basics. Like a swing, slide, tractor, and backhoe digger things in the dirt. I also love that it reminds of of where I grew up - in the good old country. It even smells like home out there. My kids love it. This is just Jake and Lexie and I playing - - Isaac was practicing pitching and batting with his friend and Max was working hard at practice.

We always have such fun and come home super dirty! Can it get any better than that?

Max's baseball game.

Max had his first baseball game this week and it was freezing cold in true Utah fashion but he played awesome!!! I was so darn proud of him!

Waiting his turn to run it into home plate. I love that the kids slide into all the bases. It is so cute.Max is in the black sleeves and that is his best friend next to him in the white. They are such good friends and luckily enough so far they have been in the same school classes and sport teams every time.

Lexie bundled up again.... for the baseball game.

Jake and that silly smile.

Oh yea.. if that ball comes to Max he is ready to go!

What a great run he is making.

Max had a fantastic 1st game! He played awesome! I went to tell the coach thanks after the game and he said, " I just have to tell you that I love having Max on the team he is always smiling and having fun and yet he is a great ball player." Max is very good at sports - but he really just loves the social aspect of it. At practice when the coach said, "There are a few important things that we need to talk about before we play.. does anyone know what they might be?" And Max's arm was swinging in the air...... So the coach picked him and his response was, "We are just here to have a fun time." The coach said, "yes that is most important" and then went on his small list of other items. Max plays so well and always does it with a smile! It should be a fantastic season.

Jake's 3rd Birthday!

Jake turned 3!! I can't believe that he is already 3 years old - -he is such a cutie. He had a fun birthday.

He got a blanket that I made for him... and a t-ball set from grandma Marla and grandpa Kirk and a bike! Finally his birthday bike day! He has been asking for weeks when he is going to get his birthday bike and birthday blanket. Really I think he has been asking since Lexie's birthday.

All my kiddos! And Jake has a lovely orange bike.
Jake picked his cake to be Lightening McQueen and I sorta cringed when he said it because this cake is no picnic to make. But it is Jake's birthday so I do what Jake wants! I had to freehand the top because my "special" pan didn't work. It was a small nightmare but it turned out pretty good! Jake loved it and that is all that matters!

Jake insisted on putting the candle on and he did great it is facing the right way as far as he is concerned!

My 3 cutie boys.

I am sure he made a great wish.

So this is the only bite of cake he took. I worked for hours on this cake and he took 1 small bite and said, "Mom, I really don't like cake" then he hopped down and started playing with his t-ball stuff. I love that!

So I picked Jake out a really awesome orange bike and when we put it together it was having issues so Jake and I went back to the store on his birthday to trade it in and he had to have this bike! He loves it. It is still in the house almost a week later and he rides is all around downstairs.. because it is still raining!!!

This is how he wanted to be for the picture. Classic!

Somethings I love about Jake...

*His smile and eyes are bigger than life.

*He always has a mischevious look on his face.

*He looks up to his brothers A LOT!

* He loves Lexie and doesn't want anyone to mess with her.

*He loves to cuddle.

*He thinks he is right around 8 years old.

*His facial expressions are hilarious!

*He says "her and him" instead of "she and he"

*He likes to help me cook stuff.

*His mouth is bigger than his dads mouth.

*He wants to sleep in my bed every night. And he wants the middle - his favorite spot.

*He is a mama's boy.

* He is so coordinated it is ridiculous. He really can keep up with older kids.

* He loves to make a mess.

*We all love Jake so much and he makes us laugh so hard and then he makes us want to scream. But I wouldn't change a single thing - I love him so so so much.

The wall cont'd...

This is when Justin started working on the closet. It is now complete - - yay for all the framing and sheetrock and mud and tape done! We are texturing tomorrow and painting next week! We are thrilled that this project is almost done!

Lexie's 1 year doctor appointment.

We had Lexie's 1 year doctor appointment a few days ago. She is healthy and doing great.

Jake loved playing with the doctor gloves. So cute.

Lexie is now 20 pounds 3 ounces. and 30 inches long. That puts her in the 30% for weight and the 80% for height. She had to get her one year old shots and my goodness was it sad. I had tried to prep Jake about her crying and he seemed fine..... but when they nurses came in they gave him a piece of candy to eat while they did the shots and right away he got nervous and jumped off the chair to see what was going on. He immediately started quivering his lip and just sobbing a very very sad cry and was nicely asking the nurses to please stop hurting his baby sister. It was so darn sad I couldn't believe that I was crying too! We were a true mess at the doctor. After the shots I held both of them trying to console them back to a normal state which took probably 10 minutes and let's be honest I could have used someone to hold me too.. Luckily we all survived and managed to compose ourselves and walk out of the office looking pretty normal. Jake still has mild sad break downs about his baby sister getting hurt so badly at the doctor. And to make matters even better he has nightmares about it too! Lexie was the one who took the pokes and is the least phased by it! Lucky girl!

Baseball.

Just a couple of quick pictures of Isaac playing catcher the other night at his game. He seriously rocked it! The other team and the coaches from the teams that were playing after came up to Justin and asked if he recruited Isaac special for catcher. They said they haven't seen such a good catcher in our league for a long time. He was happy to tell them it was his son. Way to go Isaac!

Hershey Track Meet

When you are in 3rd grade at the end of the year the city puts on a big track meet. There are 6-8 elementary schools that participate. Each having at least 100 kids who run.. It is an all day event and it was fun. Isaac ran the 50 meter dash, the 100 meter dash and the softball throw. You have to pick 3 events to be in.. He did great! It was his 1st track meet experience and I think he like it well enough but maybe not his favorite.

He is red shirt, white shorts in lane 2. He ran awesome. He took 2nd in the 50 and 2 in the semi-finals of the 100.

He had a ton of fun at the track meet - - really who wouldn't you get to skip school for the day! Isaac did awesome as always - I am always so proud of him.

Lexie's 1st Birthday

We had so much fun with Lexie for her birthday. I can't believe that she is actually one year old already! It is been such a fun 1st year with her.

This is the pretty little flower cake that I made for her. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it the whole time I was making it .... but it turned out so cute.
I wanted to take a few pictures of Lexie and her cake and balloons. And all she wanted to do is put her hands in that cake!

Uh-oh! She managed to get her hands in it! Little Stinker!

Licking off the frosting!

Oh my goodness - she just wanted to touch that thing! She loved it!

Present time! She sure did have a lot of fun helpers!

I made her a little fleece blanket for her birthday and she loves it!

My mom and dad gave her this adorable piggy bank. She loves the shiny on it... You will see in a lot of pictures she has her mouth in the "oooo" she says "oooo" all the time now. It is so cute.

Isaac was just being funny in this picture with Lexie's blanket but I have found him on many occasions watching tv with it. He likes it as much as she does..

Finally time for the birthday cake! She just wants to touch it!

Now she is mad at me because I took the cake away... you know to cut her a piece! Silly girl!

Oh yes now she is happy again!!

She always sits with her knee up like this when she is eating. So cute.

There was a point in the day where she figured out that it was all about her!

The party helpers!

"ooooo" such a messy girl.

More of the party helpers! What a fun time we had for the party!

A few things about Lexie right now:

*She loves loud music and to dance

*She crawls fast and is trying to walk but she gets smiling and laughing to much and falls over.

*Her facial expressions are priceless

*She loves to sit by her brothers

*She is spoiled rotten.

*She is so happy and smiling all of the time.

*She still has no hair.

*She also just barely broke through her first tooth.

*She hates her bows and rips them off as soon as I am not looking.

*She also hates her right shoe - she always wants it off.

*Her family absoutely adores her and I wouldn't even dare guess who loves her most

*She no longer has a bottle

*She is thrilled about facing forward in the car now.

*She likes it when I run with her in the stroller.

*She has spent countless hours in her short life watching her brothers play sports and she still smiles about going.

*She loves to give kisses and then spit. (So lady like..)

*We love this little princess.
