Max's spring soccer...

Max's spring soccer started yesterday. He is very excited and plays quite well so off we go for the season. It has been reasonable weather for a month of so - tulips are growing and everything. Of course the first day of spring soccer rolls around and so does the bad weather. The wind was blowing ridiculously hard - hard enough to blow over the goal posts multiple times. It was a freezing cold, wet wind, really special let me tell you. It was cold, cold, cold but yet they don't cancel these soccer games unless there is lightening. So we all just smiled through it and froze to death.

I only took these 2 pictures which is totally different for me but it was too cold to get my hands out of my pockets to wait for the right picture. We have games until mid-May so I will take some pictures on a warm day and post them. Max is awesome and has so much fun playing soccer. We are in for an exciting season with him. We have soccer games Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between Isaac and Max. So if you are looking for us look no further than the soccer fields since that is most likely where we will be!

Las Vegas

Last weekend we had our annual girls trip. I love this time that I get to go and spend time with my mom and sisters and be Lacie instead of "mom" for a few days. We always have such a great time together and we don't have much of a schedule we just do whatever we feel like doing. I debated about putting pictures on my blog because I am not overly happy with the way I look right now - with my due date being 5 weeks away - but my mom and sisters look great so it would be unfair to them.

On the patio at our condo.

Mom, Heather and Lani at dinner.

Me and Hailey at dinner. This night we ended up eating at a buffet because it came free with our show tickets. Some of you may know that I really hate going to buffets - not sure what it is about them but they make me crazy. Justin took me to a buffet in Vegas a few years ago and it cost us over $50 and I seriously ate a rice krispy treat. I thought I was going to throw up just seeing all that old food sitting on the buffet and I wasn't even pregnant! This buffet wasn't so bad it was actually one of the better ones I have seen - so I did eat dinner.

This is after the show we went to all the girls doing the YMCA dance.

This is at the top of the Stratosphere - none of us had ever been to the stratosphere so since the show we saw was there we also went to the top of the tower. Some wanted to brave the rides at the top and I was obviously not doing the rides 35 weeks pregnant but everyone else thought about it and some did it.....

A picture of all the girls... I look like a ghost - - maybe it is the white jacket?

Me and Lani. I think we all had a great time. We eat to much food, laugh a lot, sleep a little, shop too much, go to the spa and get massages and just have a great time together. I love my mom and sisters!

Isaac and Jake riding scooters...

This is another video of when we were out for a walk the other day. I loved that Isaac slowed down to ride by Jake for a few minutes. Jake loved it too! I also love that after a minute of riding Jake wants to stop and do high five's and pounds. Then again he realizes that I have the camera out and has to stop and smile. I love it!

This is Jake riding the scooter along on our walk the other day. It cracks me up that when he realizes I have the camera out he stops and give me a smile because I am taking his picture. So cute!

Jake riding the scooter

Jake is 22 months old - not very old to already be riding a razor scooter. He is so darn cute riding this scooter down the road.

Jake and Justin pulling weeds and playing in the dirt so that hopefully soon we can plant a new tree.

You have not seen anything cuter than Jake cruising down the road on his scooter. He refuses to ride the 3 wheeled scooters for little kids. Only a big kid razor will do for him - clearly he wants to be like his brothers.

Bobsled

The olympics never die around here. When the kids were bored the other day they built a bobsled out of this box. They worked on it and named it "The Flame".

Never a dull moment around here. They even built a track out of all of the blankets in the house. It was fun to watch them be creative and have fun together.

The "badges"

As you know Isaac has started scouts and he has 5 badges that need sewn on. Here is the story... We went to buy Isaac's scout shirt and everything else we needed to start scouts and while we were they I asked if there was an easier way to attach the badges than sewing them on. To my surprise you can purchase a sheet of "sticky stuff" that is an 8x11 sheet and you just cut out the size of piece that you need for the back of each badge and then stick them on the shirt and dry it in the dryer. Walla they stick and they said they stick really good and you never have to worry about them again. The price for the "sticky stuff" is $8 a sheet. I decided that would be a great deal and Justin said, "no, we are not paying that much for tape I will sew the badges on." So we agreed that he would sew the badges on for Isaac. It has been a few weeks and still no badges... and still Isaac begging and wondering when the badges are going to get on his shirt. So yesterday Justin gave Isaac a list of things to do around the house with a smile and if he did it Justin would sew the badges on last night. So Isaac was awesome and did everything asked and extra things even with a great big smile. He really wanted those badges on! So last night came and Justin rounds up the needle and thread and starts working on the first badge. I put the kids to bed and did a few other various jobs around the house and then sat down to watch tv while Justin sewed badges. He worked hard and diligently... It only took him 1 hour and 40 minutes to sew on the first badge. After working hard for that long and unstiching and restiching, etc.... many times and he had a bloody finger from poking himself. (I do have a thimble for a game we play with the kids but he didn't ask for it and I didn't remind him that I have it because I want to use the "sticky stuff".) Anyways after working long and painfully on that first badge he looked up at me and said, "Babe, tomorrow will you go and get a sheet of that "sticky stuff" because I really don't want to sew anymore of these badges on it takes too long!" After we got a very good laugh out of the whole situation I agreed to purchase the stuff now that it looks like it is a pretty good deal after all! Oh the things we do for our kids!

Today we went to get cast #2 cut off. This first picture is a picture of one chicken leg!

The cuts still don't look a whole lot different but they are actually healing pretty good. It is hard for them to heal all the way because no air is getting to them. They will look better once we are out of hard casts.

Gross heel! That dry sky is making Justin crazy! I could really be in trouble for putting this picture on the blog.

Getting ready for the new cast.

A smile from all of us at the doctor's office today.

The new cast and the hot lookin' shoe! He has to have another hard cast for 4 more weeks and he can start to walk on it with this handy dandy shoe. I am telling you it looks awesome! He is thrilled! After this he will have to have a velcro boot thing for a couple of weeks. Will this ever end??? His old shoes are looking pretty bad but he is refusing new shoes until he can walk on 2 feet. No sense ruining a perfectly good set of new shoes! Although everything is looking pretty good! And the process goes on....

Chicks!

Yesterday we took a trip to the Intermountain Farmers of America store to see the new baby chicks. What a fun time we had there! I couldn't even guess how many chicks they have there but we were sure glad to see them.

Max loved the chicks! I can't even tell you how much he wanted to bring one home. The sad thing is that I almost caved! A chick??? W hat am I thinking?? He wanted to hold every single one of those little chicks. Isaac didn't want to hold one very bad at all, he enjoyed looking at them but didn't care to hold one. Jake was a little bit scared of the noisy creature. Max kept on getting them out and trying to get Jake to pet it but it didn't happen.

Another picture of Max holding a chick.

We had a great time seeing the baby chicks. Since I wouldn't purchase a chick to bring home... Isaac read a sign on the wall that said if you enter the coloring contest you could win a chick and all of the stuff to go with it. So last night we spent an hour doing the coloring contest entry and coloring our best because Max really, really, really wants to win a baby chick! The first thing he said to me this morning was, "mom, can we please, please go see the baby chicks when they wake up today?" My answer.... I don't know when they are going to wake up so we will have to see. Do we really need to see them again today?

Cowboys??

A rare site from my family huh?! We were screwing around at the Intermountain Farmers of America store yesterday and since we were already there seeing the chicks we decided to try everything on. I am sure the store was thrilled that we came by! They tried on hats and here is a picture - Isaac was upset because his hat was too small and the other ones were too big - oh well! They all are cute anyways.

They didn't want me to feel left out so they found this pink hat for me to try on and Isaac took my picture - we also found some pink boots that the kids swore we needed... and for $50 I swore we didn't!

While we were there the kids found these cap gun rifles. They were thrilled! So after purchasing them with their own money and feeling very proud of themselves - we are at home playing cap guns!

Such a cute picture!

I loved this picture and I wish Isaac wasn't cut off a little bit because he is acting like he got shot and his face is cracking me up!

In a boys world is there anything more fun than a nice loud cap gun? Fun day for us at the IFA Store. I am glad the weather was warm enough to play them for a few minutes outside when we got home!

Brody's Baptism

This is a picture of the kids at Brody's baptism. I was going through my camera hoping for quite a few pictures and since I had to hold sick Jake all day I only had a couple. The kids all looked real nice and the baptism was great. We were glad to see everyone in Bozeman for the weekend and be able to be there for Brody's baptism.

Metal Art

These are the new metal art pictures that we hung in my kids room. My dad has started making metal art in his spare time. He has made some awesome stuff! These are the sport pictures he made for my kids. With the help of Mason we got them hung up above the kids window in their bedroom. They look great and the kids are thrilled! Thanks dad!

Isaac's official scout beginning...

This is Isaac at the Blue & Gold Banquet for scouts. This is how they welcome them into scouts. They go across this bridge saying the Scout Promise and when they get to the other side the rest of the den is over there along with their leaders to welcome them in with the scout handshake. Isaac did a great job and is very excited to be part of the scouting program. He has his dad working over time to try and get things done and work on things to earn different badges.

Blue & Gold Banquet

This is on Tuesday night at the Blue & Gold Banquet. Even though jake was sick we went to the scout dinner. We kept Jake in the back quarantined but Isaac was so excited that we didn't have the heart to miss it.

In this picture they are singing Happy Birthday to the scouting program - it is 100 years old this year.

After Isaac "bridged" across into the wolf den he was putting on his gear. Some of the moms did this for their boys but this is such a big deal to Justin that I let him be the man in charge for us.

All dressed up.

Isaac has been working hard and earned his first badge. The bobcat. He memorized stuff and learned a lot of things to be able to get this badge but he did it. The first step....

Here we are waiting for Isaac to get his badge and bring it over to show us. He pinned a bobcat pin on me and then had his badge. It was great.

This is a picture of Isaac's wolf den and den leaders.

Here we are with the bobcat award and the 2010 Badge that he will get to use for this year only. Isaac is getting a good start on scouting. He is very excited to be doing this stuff.
