Batman!

My friend and I were sitting on her front patio and from around the corner comes these 3 batman's. It was classic! I tried to take a picture of them riding on the street but I only had my phone camera so I had to have them come in close for a picture. What cute batman's! (By the way - - - one is Isaac and one is Max!)

Grotto Trail

We love to go on the Grotto Trail hike in the Payson Canyon. You get to walk through creeks and on logs and you end up at a waterfall. How much better can an afternoon get than that?

Max found a little snail that he had to hold much to Isaac's dismay!

Jake actually fell in that mountain waterfall a couple of times. He lost his breath because it was so darn cold. He survived and I guess he liked it since he kept going in the water.

Isaac wanted to try and cross this part of the water scooting along on this log. He did pretty good going across until.....

Splash! He fell in right at the end!

Right at the end of the hike Isaac, Max and I went under a bridge and came out on the other side. Max went up this little hill and pretty soon I hear him screaming! RED ANTS they are all over my legs! Sure enough when I got there he had red ants and he said they were getting him. So we ran down to the water and he splahsed water all over his legs and sat down and get them all off in the water. It was quite the way to end the hike. I am sure a few red ants won't keep us away from here. We love going here the walk is nice, the scenery pretty and there is a lot of water to splash in!

Backyard fun "again"

We just can't make it to Seven Peaks every single days so for the days we don't go we hang out in the yard. I went and bought a tiny pool for Jake to sit in and it would seem that kids of any age like it.

I don't know any kids that don't love slip n slides!

We have all kinds of activities going on in the yard. Slip and Slide, Kickball, pool, sprinklers and trampolines. My kids love all of the neighbor kids coming over to play. They would do it every single day if that was an option!

Of course after all of the water fun Jake just has to play in the sand. A day is not complete for Jake until he eats a handful of dirt of sand.

We love having the backyard ready to play in this year. Yesterday Isaac, Max and I got out some tiny chairs and just soaked our feet in the tiny pool while we chatted and had popcicles. What a great time I get to have with the kids in the backyard this year.

'Snaps"

My kids love this time of year when the stores start selling firecrackers. They love the monster snaps. I bought a bunch of boxes of them and this is what I found the other day. I let them go out in the front yard to throw them while I finished something in the house. Pretty soon I peeked through the front blinds and was watching them and laughing to hard. Then I decided to take some pictures of them playing - I took my pictures through the window so they didn't know I was watching. It was great!

They got tired of throwing them on the ground to pop them so they started snapping them on their legs. They would set them on their legs and them hit them with their flip flops.
Then Isaac was sneaking up on Max while he was busy snapping one on his leg and set one carefully on his head. Then he hit Max's head with his shoe to pop it.

Trying it again!

Of course what goes around comes around and now it is Isaac's turn to get hit in the head.

They were both laughing so hard out there.

Now they have moved on to their arms. I couldn't believe how much fun they were having with one tiny box of "monster snaps".

I have a new patio, pool outside, slip and slide, trampoline with a sprinkler under it and one other exciting gadget of a sprinkler, popcicles and yet my kids still cannot stop fighting today! What is the deal?
Today I went to download some new pictures and update my blog and what do you know my computer is acting up. I am so mad right now I could just scream! My computer won't read my camera card to download the pictures. It just keeps telling me this is an unknown device. UGH! I will continue to work on it or I will be purchasing a new computer and trust me that won't make my day. I hope you all have a better day with your computer than I am having with mine!

Lava Hot Springs

This weekend we went to Blackfoot for the Furniss Family Reunion. We spent all of Saturday at Lava Hot Springs. Lava is a lot of fun and we would have been thrilled to get a sunburn but instead it rained and the wind blew most of the day. It was cold... cold... cold. But yet we were troopers and we tried to swim. It lasted for quite awhile before we were all very cold.

So we tried going in the indoor pool for awhile while Isaac and the dads jumped off the diving boards.

I tried to get a good picture of Isaac diving off the boards but no luck. The kid has no fear at all he jump runs to the end jumps and dives right in. This is a picture of his doing a flip and he also as decided that it is fun to walk out to the end of the board and stand on it backwards and then jump and dive forward to do a reverse dive sort of thing. It gives me a hotflash but he never hit his head. Thank goodness!

Jake was full of kisses!

After awhile we went over to the hot pools. Much better!

I am a little bit sad that I don't have more pictures but it was raining the whole day and getting on to get the camera really wasn't that warm. So I am happy with the few that I do have. Mom and Dad, Lani and Travis, Mason and Anna, and Justin and I mostly did the swimming. The other Furniss' stayed at the park in something covered so they didn't get soaked. Although everyone came to the hot pools for a nice warm soak. Even Grandma Norma sat in with us for quite awhile. It was fun to see everyone this weekend.
This is Max at swimming lessons. He is practicing his "Superman" glide in this picture. They tell them to pretend to fly like superman and to help them keep their heads in they tell them to look at the bottom and pretend there are buildings that they are flying over - they are supposed to see if they can see anyone that needs help from Superman. I thought that was pretty clever.

I thought this was a hilarious picture of his not quite under the water but seriously holding his breath. So cute!

After they practice all of their breathing and strokes and stuff then at the end they get to jump off the side to their teacher.

Max is also a very good swimmer and he loves it. I am so glad that none of my kids are afraid of the water or anything like that. We still have swimming for this whole week and we are very excited.
