Easter Egg Hunt

DON'T EVERYBODY FALL OVER AND DIE AT ONCE.....THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED TODAY AND I AM POSTING ABOUT IT TODAY!!!  I decided I have a quick few minutes and I will just post the easter egg hunt pictures on my blog right now!  Weird!  We have been going to the city easter egg hunt for 6 years now.  It is totally crazy!  There are a zillion kids and a zillion eggs.  Keeping track of your kids is a nightmare because once they get going it is impossible to keep your eyes on them!  Technically you are supposed to split up all the kids by age into their certain fields.  I have to put 2 kids on one and 2 kids on the other because it's easier for Justin and I to man the fields that way.  Isaac and Max went on their own this year and it was great!  We just picked a meeting spot after and all met up and went through our stuff.  Jake and Lexie went to the 3-4 year old field.  It was totally crazy!  Jake is quite the protective brother and kept good track of Lexie.  Then when she only managed to get 5 eggs he gave her a couple of his because he was faster at getting them!  These 2 are such good little friends I just love them.

When the hunt ends you go through your eggs and you can win bikes, scooters, big stuffed animals, easter baskets, treats and it is so fun.  Last year we won a bike.  This year we did just as good and won a few prepackaged easter baskets and the kids were thrilled with that.  Isaac won a few full size candy bars and that was great for him.  Max won a blanket from the ambulance and that was new and fun as well.
Lexie was thrilled with her winnings!

The easter egg hunt loot!  Looks pretty good to me!

Holidays are so much more fun with sweet sweet kids.  I love them all 4 so so much!
No rest for us..... then off to soccer practice then to the batting cages!  WE love a nice Saturday and can't just waste it cleaning the house!

Isaac's 11th Birthday

In February Isaac also turned 11!  He is growing up to fast!  He wanted a Nike Swoosh Cake filled with raspberry filling.  Really!!  Although I must say that I did pretty good fulfilling his request!  He also manged to do good on his birthday.  He got new cletes, a blanket I made, a "magic" book from my mom, a lot of nice cards and money and we got him a new golf set.  He was pretty thrilled.  With his birthday money he bought himself a new baseball bag that he has been wanting that I wouldn't buy because it was to expensive.  He was glad to get it!  He also got some new golf balls for his bag.

You know how it is a family of kids.  The oldest gets something new and then everything shuffles down so all of these boys have their own set of golf clubs now!  Justin has some golf partners for life now! We love love love Isaac!

Max's 9th Birthday

Max turned 9 years old in February.  Where has the time gone!!  He managed to rake in quite the loot for his birthday!  He got new baseball bag, bat, helmet and cletes.  He also got a blanket I made for him, a "magic" book from my mom and a lot of nice cards and some money to buy a few things he wanted.  He bought himself some rollerblades with his money and has been on them almost every day since.

My mom and dad, Lani & Travis, and Mason & Anna were driving through on their way home from Hawaii and stopped for Max's birthday breakfast.  We were so glad they did eve though we aren't that exciting!
We had a great day hanging out with Max and at the end of the day he picked a Coldstone Ice Cream cake this year and it was delicious!  We love love love this boy!

Isaac's Wax Museum

We had Isaac's wax museum back in February as well.  He had to pick somebody and write a huge report on them.   After that was done he had to dress up like the person the best he could.  One night they had a big program and then they were the "wax museum".  They had to stand like statues for 2 hours and if someone came and pushed their button then they had to recite a paragraph of the persons life from memory. Then when they were finished saying it they had to freeze again until someone else pushed their button.  It was great!

Isaac did awesome!  It was so fun to be there with him.  I am pretty sure Jake pushed his button like 100 times just to see him say it and then freeze again.  Great job Isaac!

Grandma Norma's 90th Birthday

I am rather slow on updating my blog lately.  I am so sorry my life is just crazy these day!  My grandma's 90th birthday was back in February and I was so glad to get to go to her big party.  I just took a picture of a picture on the picture above this..  I had never seen a picture of my grandma was she was younger and I think that she is just beautiful!
From top left - Uncle Boyd, Aunt Ralonna, my mom Marla, Uncle Nolan.
Front left - My grandma Norma and Aunt Elvira.
My grand ma turned 90 and she is still up and around and doing great.  She still lives and home and takes care of herself and is amazing.  Her sister Elvira is currently 96.  Wow!  My grandma spends a lot of time with Elvira helping her and taking care of her.  She also does hair at the hospital (or nursing home..?) and is in a sewing club.  She is still so busy!

Top left to right - Boyd & Nancy furniss, Reed & Ralonna Peterson, Marla & Kirk Hone, Anita & Nolan Furniss.  Front right is my lovely grandma and sister Elvira.

My mom (in pink) and her sister!
The food spread.  It was a nice lunch.  The party was 3 hours and I am here to tell you that the line didn't stop for 3 hours of people who came to see my grandma!  I am positive I will never have that many friends!

A family picture of my grandpa Ralph and grandma Norma and all of their kids. Plus one grandbaby. I loved this picture as well.
Grandma Norma kissing my baby Jake.
The cousins (aka great grandkids.)  had a ton of fun playing together for hours that day.  We even got to see cousins we hadn't seen in a long time and the kids always have so fun together.  We wish we could see everyone more but not even time can take away from the fun they have together.

These girlies are stinkers!!  The might have even poked their finger in the frosting a couple of times.
Jackie, and Garrick & Deyce.  My cousins.
Anna and Mason and baby Beckett (my brother)

 My grandma and her kids.

This is my favorite picture of the day.  My grandma and my mom.

I love my grandma Norma so much and she is probably the most positive and giving person I know.  I am glad she has been around so long and that my kids get to know her as well.  They love grammie Norma.  We all do!  She has a huge family and everyone just loves her dearly.
