The Pumpkin Patch

One Saturday afternoon we took the kids to the pumpkin patch for a little while.  I like this particular pumpkin patch because it is FREE to play at!  The kids always have a ball here!  First up... corn pit.

It was a sad day because Isaac was "to grown up" to want to play in the corn pit.  It was more fun to sit by mom :)  Which I like too!

I loved these flying pictures in the corn pit!

 And some awesome plow landings!

Hands stands anyone!  This is a fantastic place to work on my gymnastics!

Jake flying off the double stack of hay bales and Lexie was off shortly after!

A fun little hay maze :)

They found a hiding place for corn and loaded up their pockets!  We played with corn kernels for days after that!

 A nice little hay ride!

My two favorite things of the day were...... being with my perfect family and the temperature was 80 degrees!
We told the kids they could pick a pumpkin but they had to be able to carry it themselves.  Jake wanted on the same size as Isaac and Max and this child is determined!!  Very determined!!  He picked on and hauled it a long ways all by himself!

It was a swinging back and forth and he was a grunting and his mouth was hanging wide open in concentration!  This is classic Jake when he is keeping up with the "big" boys!

Taking a tiny little break while he waits for the tractor to go by.

And then he was right back at it again!  He was taking that pumpkin home no matter what!

That was the last 5 steps!  He made it and we of course let him have the pumpkin.  Anyone who will work that hard deserves the prize!  We had an awesome day together!

WARNING! A LOT OF NEW POSTS! PLEASE KEEP HITTING "OLDER POSTS' UNTIL YOU GET TO SOMETHING THAT IS ACTUALLY OLD!

Grause Hunting :)

The Friday of fall break we took the kids up to the mountains again.  They had the best time!  Lexie and I learned to dance in the mountains, and made videos of each other singing songs and did sticker books and shot guns with the boys.  The boys just shot guns no funny business there!  It is the first time that Isaac and Max had hunting licenses to actually shoot game birds.  They were stoked!  The day ended up like this:  Isaac shot 3 grause, Max shot 1 grause, 1 squirrel, and 1 chipmunk, Jake shot 1 bird and one squirrel, Justin shot one grause and he had to beg to get a shot in edge wise!

It totally grosses me out that this little princess wants to hold on the tails of these dead animals!  Gag me!

Justin and his gun shooting posse.. Isaac was up ahead.

That looks like a "yes" to me!

He was so excited about this!

 Lexie petting the dead birds..

Max shot this and then yelled, "Best day of my life!"  About made Justin cry!

Everybody hauling their gun and a bird.

Justin taking a break in the car.

Time to learn how to clean these babies.  This is Isaac's LEAST favorite thing to do.  Max is good with it but Isaac hates it!

I am sure he was thinking..... you gotta be kidding me, dad....

Everybody managed through the learn how to clean them and clean your own kill just fine..
I am sure Justin would love this family picture to be on our Christmas cards.....

They had an awesome day and I was glad to be there to see their excitement about this and Lexie has no problem getting in there with the boys.
